Find out more about the three missions of the Public Policy Support Division and the public policy support correspondents who can answer your questions:
- Coordination, an essential interface between scientists and public policy players
The Public Policy Support Division’s project leaders work with the public policy support correspondents in the research departments to develop the scientific offer for public policy support in their thematic fields. They also assist INRAE staff in presenting the support offer to those involved in public policy and action, and coordinate partnerships.
- Promotion, a mission to raise the profile of public policy support activities
The Public Policy Support Department promotes INRAE’s public policy support activities by making them known to its current and potential public partners, as well as to the Institute’s scientists. The documents it produces help to build public partnerships and raise awareness of these activities among INRAE teams.
- Support, a mission to gain recognition for public policy support
Public policy support activities are part of INRAE’s mission. It appears that these activities require specific skills, some of which overlap with scientific skills. Training, certification and the international dimension of scientific expertise in public policy support are being supported.
Public policy support correspondents in the scientific departments
To anchor the “public policy support” mission in the research departments and their units, 14 public policy support correspondents have been chosen to strengthen the interface between their department and the Public Policy Support Division. They are the department’s main point of contact for public policy support activities. They have a good knowledge of their department’s activities and skills, as well as its master plan.
